All Lives Matter

Prince is important...he has touched many lives with his music. He was rewarded in the ways that are significant to an entertainer--he was given adulation and wealth by a world-wide audience that adored him.

Those 22 vets who die each day are important, although if their lives were measured by the rewards of success that attended Prince one would doubt their significance, for many of them died homeless and in poverty.

All lives matter to GOD. His infallible WORD tells us that "a sparrow cannot fall to the ground except the FATHER knows; if HE cares about the sparrow, how much more does HE care about you!" Matthew 10:29-31

Our HOLY GOD cares about every person who has ever been or will ever be born. When a world-famous entertainer dies, HE cares. When a homeless vet dies, HE cares. When an unborn baby is slain in its mother's womb, HE cares. When you and I take our final breath, HE cares.

At that moment for each of us, whether we have been a world renown musician or an insignificant retiree, the HOLY ONE desires to send HIS angels to greet us and to carry us into HIS presence. JESUS died so each of us may receive that winged escort to the throne room of GOD.

But some of us will perish without having received that "unspeakable GIFT," II Corinthians 9:15. Some of us will not be ushered into the waiting arms of the LORD but we will be carried to the pit.

Our eternal destiny is not dependent upon our success in life; it is not based upon the accolades we received or did not receive from men. It is not based upon our wealth or upon our poverty. It is not contingent upon the number of years we have attained.

The unborn child, mutilated before birth by the abortionist's knife will be whole before the throne of GRACE as will the broken man who is ravaged by old age.

The one question that we must settle eternally before that moment of destiny arrives for us is: WHAT WILL I DO WITH JESUS?

Will I dismiss HIS WORD that affirms, "He that believes in ME, though he were dead, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in ME shall never die" John 11:25, 26; or will I fall before HIM and worship and adore HIM as my personal SAVIOR and LORD?

Doubting Thomas, when he beheld the risen CHRIST, exclaimed, "MY LORD AND MY GOD!" John 20:26-28

May each of us make that same declaration in time, for indeed we shall make it throughout eternity--whether from our glorious place in Heaven or from our wretched place in hell.

All lives matter to GOD. That's why JESUS bore sin to the cross and arose to everlasting life.

That's why your life should matter to you--it should matter enough that you give it to JESUS.
