Home Economics classes for girls and Shop classes for boys once taught young people basic skills that could help them through daily life and even set them upon a viable career path.
No matter whether a high school student aspires to be a research scientist or a physician or an engineer or a financial wizard or a clerk at the local store, these basic skills will enrich and empower him in life.
Encourage your school system to reinstate these viable courses if they are not already part of the offered curriculum.
Our schools should teach people basic life skills again.
