Many of us have been praying for our current president and have been discouraged at the fact that no matter how fervently we have called his name before the LIVING GOD, he continued to implement programs that defy the law of the HOLY ONE.
"Let us not be weary in well-doing," as we remember that our hope is never in a man or his policies but that our hope remains where it ever has been--in the hand of the RULER of the universe.
May we thank HIM for our current leadership and the role it has played toward the furthering of the purposes of GOD. May we thank HIM for our in-coming president and the role he will play toward furthering the advancement of the KINGDOM of CHRIST.
No matter how things may appear, no matter how far 'off base' the
government may become, the nation that holds our eternal citizenship has
not changed and its leader has neither been voted out nor abdicated.
Yes, we must continue to pray for our earthly leaders but we must ever be mindful that they are merely pawns on the chessboard of eternity. Because they are only men who are failed and flawed as we are, we must pray faithfully for them so they will purposefully slip into the role in which they have been cast, so they will easily assume the role they have been selected to play.
