Favor

"May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands." -Psalm 90:17

LORD JESUS, grant favor to YOUR people so they may, at the point of the purpose to which YOU have called them, find favor in YOUR sight so they may do YOUR will, and serve YOUR KINGDOM'S purposes.

As we look about we see people who have achieved grand accomplishments and attained accolades heaped upon themselves, and we know in YOUR value system they are vanity.

As YOU, LORD, pointed out in the temple, the widow who gave her last mite lavished more into YOUR KINGDOM than all the wealthy men who gave much from their vast abundance.

Help us to recognize that we are where YOU have placed us for a purpose, and let us seek YOUR favor in fulfilling that purpose--whether it be small or great in the eyes of the world or in our own eyes.

We ask for this and for all YOUR favors in YOUR own mighty, matchless name, JESUS. Amen.
