If this nation is "an offense" to anyone living here, they need to be aware that there are other options, there are other nations where they may reside and attain citizenship.
Those who choose to remain here do so under their presumed allegiance to this land, under their presumed commitment to speak boldly for this land, under their presumed resolve to defend this land against all enemies, "foreign and domestic."
