As an aside to the following message on appropriating the gift of healing, here is a personal experience:
When our family lived in a foreign country, my sister-in-law and brother phoned to tell us her mother was dying and had been given the last rites of the church.
We prayed for her over the phone and that day she was sitting up, well, and discharged from the hospital within a day or two after being examined further by her doctor. She went on to live about 20 more years.
"Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8
"The same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you." Romans 8:11
