Meeting

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s motorcade of limousines crossed St. Peter’s Square for the late-morning, closed-door meeting Tuesday with the pontiff.

Rouhani asked Pope Francis to pray for him after private talks at the Vatican.
Rouhani told Francis after their 40-minute meeting Tuesday: “I ask you to pray for me.” The Iranian called the visit “a real pleasure.”

Francis thanked Rouhani for the visit and added: “I hope for peace.”

As we see this man, Rouhani, president of a terror-sponsoring state, allow himself to receive the prayers of a leader of Christiandom, we can only pray that his heart will be touched for good and that the evil that is done with his approval will be reversed.

Yet, we should not delude ourselves into false hope...unless his heart is turned to JESUS, there will be no reversal of his hatred for and terror against everything Christian.

No matter the outcome of this meeting, we know there is coming a day when all evil will be put under the feet of Jesus, the one and only King of kings and Lord of lords.
