The Door

There are many ways to enter most places, but some clubs and organizations have cards or passwords and other evidences of membership that are designed to exclude non-members.

Another place has exclusivity of entry--that nobody may gain without proof that they have the right of entry--is Heaven. Oh, yes, everyone is invited to enter, but only those who receive JESUS as SAVIOR and LORD will be admitted.

He says of Himself that He is "the Door." There is no point in trying to go through without being bathed in the blood of the Lamb. There is no point in trying to enter through another person or through your good works or via any other means--JESUS is the only way.

His Word establishes HIM as the single entry point to Heaven, to the Throne Room of God. JESUS says, "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME." John 14:6

JESUS says of HIMSELF, "I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved..." John 10:9

To assure your entry through Christ, the Door, you must first acknowledge HIS KNOCK AT YOUR DOOR! In Revelation 3:20 HE says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and sup with him and he with Me."

Open the door of your heart to Him, and JESUS will become the open door to Heaven for you.

 

This is the oldest door in Britain, installed in Westminster Abbey before the Norman Invasion, 1060 -- the oak tree from which the door was harvested was old enough to have seen the departure of the Romans.
