Father, Forgive Them

"Father, forgive them; they don't know what they do." Luke 23:34

Everyone has someone to forgive of something. The woman in this story suffered greatly because of war and her pain continues today, yet through discovering CHRIST, she learned how to forgive.

Forgiveness doesn't come easily because pain doesn't leave easily, but the truth of the matter is that harboring un-forgiveness causes more hurt than the heart can hold.

When we release our anguish, our frustration, our disappointment, our fear of further pain into the nail-scared hands of the LORD, He lifts our burden and He restores our hope.

Only JESUS can replace our fears with faith and only JESUS can transform our sorrow into joy.
His Word says that HE will give us "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." Isaiah 61:3

What we cannot do for ourselves, the LORD can enable us to do, for HE has already done it--JESUS has forgiven those who crucified HIM. HE has forgiven those whose sins placed HIM on the cross--He has forgiven us.
