JESUS came to restore man's hope. JESUS came to restore the hope he had at his creation. JESUS came to restore the hope man had before he sinned.
When the HOLY ONE fashioned man in HIS OWN IMAGE, HE created man to be holy and to walk in truth.
When man succumbed to the lure of the enemy of his soul, "that he would be like GOD," man destroyed the part of himself that was righteous and eternal.
Man, through recklessly
abandoning his obedience before his CREATOR, forfeited his goodness and
his hope of eternal life. Man deserved nothing but death as his
punishment.
JESUS, the Babe of Bethlehem grew to be the MAN of the Cross. JESUS died the death that man deserved as his punishment for sin. JESUS was separated from GOD in man's place.
Any man who receives to himself "GOD'S UNSPEAKABLE GIFT" of JESUS' propitiatory death will also receive to himself CHRIST'S resurrection.
The man who receives JESUS'S wondrous SACRIFICE becomes dead to sin and alive to righteousness. As the SAVIOR was resurrected from the tomb, so the forgiven man is resurrected from the death of sin.
May this glorious season of birth become your season of rebirth.
