JESUS has a heart for children. JESUS identified the guilelessness of children as being a characteristic of those who would come after HIM. HE also admonished those who profess to love HIM to care for the children.
At what better season can we begin to reach out in love and generosity to the children around us who will not be lavished with gifts this Christmas; who won't be inundated with presents under their tree?

And as we begin to reach out to supply them with the bounty we enjoy at
the season of giving, may we resolve to supply their needs throughout
the days and weeks and months and years ahead. May we resolve to use
our resources to feed them, to clothe them, to teach them of the CHRIST
who came to save them...
And may our giving leave a sweet savor in our hearts, knowing that because JESUS first loved us, we are privileged to extend HIS love to the little children HE desires to come to HIM.
