It is encouraging to people of faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST that we have a vice-president who is a committed CHRISTIAN and a president who is empathetic to the tenets of CHRISTIANITY, who bows himself before godly leadership and enlists the prayers of godly men over his endeavors.
We who believe in the ONE TRUE and LIVING GOD must be on our knees before the RULER of the universe in the behalf of these men--that their hearts will remain tender before HIM, that their efforts will be directed toward HIS KINGDOM'S PURPOSES, that their minds will be attuned to "the MIND of CHRIST"--for it is in having godly leaders with godly purposes that freedom may flourish in all of our lives and in our nation.
The freedom we
hold most dear, the freedom to worship the HOLY ONE after the dictates
of our own conscience is rooted in our CONSTITUTIONAL freedoms and
because our founding fathers knew that JESUS HIMSELF paid the price to
set us free from our bondage to sin.
Although that freedom has been extended to every citizen of every religious background, you may be sure that our founders based that freedom of religion upon the right of the people to choose from the various expressions of CHRISTIANITY, for there was no other religion in this land at the time of the writing of the CONSTITUTION.
We must be on guard today against the encroachment of any false doctrine of any false 'god' into the fabric of our religious freedom. We must not compromise our pure CHRISTIANITY; we must not dilute our pure faith in the "unspeakable GIFT" of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST who died to give us freedom from death, hell, and the grave!
"IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND HEAL THEIR LAND." II Chronicles 7:14
