GOD'S love is the thread that runs through the entirety of the BIBLE. HIS love is conveyed through the historical passages as it is through those that are spiritual. The culmination of HIS love is found at CALVARY where JESUS died for the transgressions of all mankind.
Although GOD'S love is evident in the extreme, the enemy of your soul endeavors to undermine your confidence that you are the object of HIS holy love. The enemy of your soul knows that if he can make you believe that you are unloved, that you are unlovable, that you will be far more likely to succumb to the lure of his temptations to sin.
Because mankind yearns for approval, because the heart of every person
longs to find that place where love and joy and hope abound, he will do
virtually anything to obtain the object of his desire.
But if he feels his effort is futile, if he believes there is no hope of pleasing GOD and receiving HIS love, man will abandon his striving and he will be ripe for the schemes of the evil one that compel him away from the path of hope and lead him to the way that leads to destruction.
If you read nothing else today, open your BIBLE to PSALM 136 where you will find 26 reminders that the GOD who fashioned you loves you...
...Allow yourself to abide in that truth that HE has so ardently striven to convey to you. Ponder the depth and breadth of a love that HE feels so fervently that HE spoke it repeatedly in order that you might fully grasp the intent of HIS heart.
Ponder it, grasp it--and allow it to make you whole and new and alive for the entirety of your life; and to make you a co-heir with CHRIST of all the treasure of eternity.
