Christians are suffering for their faith in greater numbers today than at any other time in history.
Here, under the umbrella of our Constitutional freedoms, we have little to complain about ... the occasional intrusion into our free expression of our faith has been limited to Bible reading in school or overt prayer in Christ's name at public gatherings.
While even these restrictions are unconstitutional, they are not life threatening. We should stand against them to prevent greater encroachments into our freedoms, yet while we are protecting our own liberty, we must be mindful and prayerful regarding our brothers and sisters in the faith who are being crushed under the cruel boot of anti-Christian hatred.
Asia Bibi is a believer in Christ who has suffered much for her faith. May we who are secure in our Constitutional freedoms, pray fervently for her, that she may be delivered from the cruel punishment that is being imposed upon her because she loves Jesus.
