Sometimes it's difficult to find a friend, a real friend, a friend the BIBLE says, "sticks closer than a brother."
And that's not to negate the treasure we have in the people who are around us. We value every acquaintance who brings interesting and pleasant experiences into our lives.
We value the friendships that enhance our day-to-day experiences, but we are sometimes hard-pressed to identify that friend in whom we may place our complete confidence.
When we find ourselves
unable to be assured of the complete loyalty of a friend, when we
cannot bring ourselves to pour out our heart to anyone, may we be
reminded that there is indeed such a friend.
HE will listen as we pour our hearts out before HIM, and HE certainly understands the anguish in the depth of our being that we're not speaking.
That ONE is JESUS.
JESUS knows the secrets of our hearts before we speak them. HE knows the griefs we bear because HE has borne them in our behalf. Since HE already knows "our down-sitting and our up-rising," can we not trust HIM with the circumstances that perplex us!
