By some estimation, it costs nothing to be a decent human being, but by another, it costs everything.
The scriptural admonition is that we must "die to self" in order to live to JESUS. Some people consider that too expensive a price to pay.
Where are you in the "decent human being economy"? How much of your "self" are you willing to relinquish to be a child of the LIVING and TRUE GOD?
How much of yourself are you willing to spend to attain CHRIST'S "unspeakable gift"?
Although salvation is free, it costs you everything.
Although JESUS paid it all, you cannot grasp HIS free gift of salvation while you cling to your right to govern your own life after your own desires.
But if you let your empty, broken, depleted self go, you can embrace the glorious and eternal treasure HE desires to place into your hands.
