We Can't Save Ourselves

"There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one,” Romans 3:9–12
We can't save ourselves.
We can't donate enough money to save ourselves.
We can't help enough people to save ourselves.
We can't avoid sin enough to save ourselves.
We can't speak enough truth to save ourselves.
We can't emulate JESUS sufficiently to save ourselves.
The only thing we can do is fall at HIS feed and ask HIM to bathe us in HIS shed blood, for it is only Calvary's flow that can wash away our sin.
LORD JESUS, we thank YOU for loving us so much that YOU left YOUR throne in Heaven, came to earth as a mere man, lived the perfect, sinless life we could not live and died for our sins that YOU did not commit.
Such love is beyond our ability to fathom. As YOUR WORD the BIBLE says, "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down HIS life for HIS friends."
Thank YOU for allowing us to be YOUR beloved friends. Because YOU sacrificed YOURSELF for us, may we place our lives at YOUR feet and devote them to YOUR service.
Whatever good YOU may accomplish through our surrendered lives, we will give YOU all the praise and all the glory.
Magnify YOURSELF through YOUR people, O Holy God!
