With Antifa planning protests in 21 cities today, Christians are admonished to boldly approach the LORD'S throne of mercy and grace, repenting first of their own sin and the sin of the nation, then praying that this group with communist intent will fail in its war against America and her freedom.

The Need to Repent

Before we enter into His gates with thanksgiving, we must bow before our Lord in humble repentance, freely confessing our own sins and that of our nation.

The following is an excerpt from an article published today by Pastor Jeff Daly, Founder, National Day of Repentance.

Is there an answer to the dilemma in which we find ourselves as a nation?

Yes! That answer is personal and national repentance, a "rending of our hearts" starting with you and me. You and I are His People called by His Name, and Judgment begins in the house of God. It's time for a sacred assembly in our prayer closets, churches AND our public square!

"Now, therefore," says the Lord, "Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him . . ." Joel 2: 12-14

The Risen Christ sees us as His Bride, calling us to be without spot or wrinkle, holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).

He calls us in love to be zealous to repent, to spend time "dining" with Him, to be overcomers and eventually sit with Him on His throne as He overcame and sat down with His Father on His throne (Revelation 3: 19-21).

Like Daniel and Nehemiah it's time to confess our own sins, the sins of our families and our nation. We all have a long list where we may have been in some way apathetic, tolerant or participant in sin, as well as in allowing sin to engulf our nation.

Some of those sins include:

Racism

Pride

Mammon

Idolatry

Killing of innocents

Approving of sexual perversions

Competition in the church instead of love and unity

Fear of man instead of fear of God

Removal of God from our public square

Failure to stand by Israel

We must each search our own heart and confess our own sin, then, after offering your own prayers of repentance, please pray over each city in which ANTIFA is wreaking its mischief.

Bind the spirit of chaos and loose peace.

Decree PSALM 91 over each city, and thank our Lord for sending His angels to protect His people.

This battle is one of spiritual warfare, so let's use the "Weapons of our warfare" that God has given us in His Holy Word:

A scripture to employ in prayer over the cities in which protests are occurring:

ISAIAH 37:33-35:

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the [enemy forces]

'He shall not come into this city,

Nor shoot an arrow there,

Nor come before it with shield,

Nor build a siege mound against it.

By the way that he came,

By the same shall he return;

And he shall not come into this city,'

Says the Lord.

'For I will defend this city, to save it

For My own sake and for My servant David's sake.'"

And . . .

" . . . and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE." (Ezekiel 48:35)
