Maxine Waters -- Woman of the Year

“I continue to say, 'Impeach him! Impeach him! Impeach him! Impeach 45! Impeach 45! I didn’t hear you! Impeach 45!'”

So went the lunatic screeches of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) as she accepted a “Woman of the Year” award from Glamour magazine.

Her James Brown-esque ‘do waving gently in the air conditioning, Waters kept hammering the one-note song that got her on stage to begin with – a constant clamoring for Trump’s impeachment that is not only annoying to conservatives but also to the Democrat Party leadership.

But it’s like catnip for the liberal press; Waters has really made a name for herself in 2017 as one of the few Democrats willing to just go out there and be as crazy in public as they are behind closed doors. And her embarrassing media appearances were apparently enough for the editors of Glamour to select her as being a great representative of the female half of the species this year.

But perhaps it isn’t too surprising that they felt Waters was deserving of the award. The entire night was a celebration of some of the most graceless, reprehensible feminists walking the country today. From disgusting late-night “comedy” host Samantha Bee to Waters herself, all you had to do to claim your Glamour award was make sure everyone – and we mean EVERYONE – knew how much you hate Donald J. Trump.

Even in this company, however, it was beyond the pale for Glamour to give an award to the organizers of the Women’s March on Washington – a crew that includes Sharia Shelley herself, Linda Sarsour.

According to the magazine, the co-chairs of the march “put most everything else in their lives on hold, working around the clock to build websites and marketing materials and, most of all, to make sure intersectionality was a feature, not a bug.”

We’re really getting sick of that phrase, by the way.

But digressions aside, Sarsour’s definition of “intersectionality” includes defending extremist Islamic practices like female genital mutilation and touting the benefits of bringing Sharia Law to the United States.

She claims herself to be a feminist, but she does not hesitate to rip into any woman who dares to criticize her precious religion and the oppression it visits upon women around the globe.

Sarsour, like Waters, has certainly grabbed the spotlight this year, but visibility and a tendency towards liberal politics should not be all the credentials one needs to be celebrated by the left. The fact that it is speaks volumes for how unchained liberals have become in the Age of Trump.
