- HOLY -- a concept that is difficult for the finite human mind to wrap itself around. It is difficult because there is nothing, there is no one, in our sphere who models this idea before us.
Yet the WORD of GOD admonishes us very clearly, "BE YE HOLY, FOR I THE LORD YOUR GOD AM HOLY." If the LORD thinks it is important for us to be holy, certainly we must make every effort to obey HIM.
When we are trying to obey HIM, we will fail. We will disappoint ourselves, we will disap...point those who try to guide us on the path of holiness, and we will disappoint the CHRIST who loves us, but no matter how far we fall from the place we are striving to attain, we may know with certainty that JESUS will stretch forth HIS hand to raise us up again.
And if none of that convinces you that you need to be holy, simply be holy, because it's good practice for when you arrive in Heaven.
