Earlier this week in New York City, a radicalized Muslim pledging allegiance to ISIS plowed a rented pickup truck into bicyclists and pedestrians, killing eight people and injuring more than a dozen.

Witnesses reported that the attacker, an immigrant from Uzbekistan, shouted “Allahu akbar” [the Arabic phrase for “Allah is great”] after the attacks before being shot and apprehended by police.
