Immigration

No true AMERICAN is against immigration. We are all the children of immigrants. Even the 'American Indian,' the "indigenous people" of the continent are said to have crossed a land bridge that was once at the Bering Sea as they migrated here.

No true believer in Christ is opposed to extending a helping hand to the wave of suffering people who are escaping the conflagration in Syria. We pray for them to find the peace and safety all good people desire.

But nobody, patriot or believer, is in favor of an un-vetted wave of potential terrorists entering our land and exposing the innocents of our nation to the vitriolic hatred of those who are determined to achieve our destruction.

We simply implore our government to hold back the tide of immigrants, to discover those with false passports and evil intentions and to return them to their countries of origin while opening the arms of a nation waiting to receive those who are truly persecuted--which should include persecuted Christians as well as Muslims--with the open arms America always extends to those "longing to breathe free."

As a "starving actor", Thomas had made a vow: If he found success, he would open a shrine dedicated to St. Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of hopeless causes.
