The Dark Places

Sometimes believers in Christ come to a point in their lives when they feel the light has been extinguished. They are in a quandary and they haven't any idea how to emerge from it. They feel they have been at a high point of faith that has sufficed them at the point of every need but somehow are at a juncture where they can't 'pray through.'

To those who are going through these feelings, may I say that you are not alone. All people of faith have come at some time in their walk with Christ to the point of feeling this frustration.

To them, I would quote the beautiful verse in MICAH 7:8, "Rejoice not over me, O, mine enemy, for WHEN I FALL, I SHALL ARISE; WHEN I SIT IN DARKNESS, THE LORD WILL BE A LIGHT TO ME."

When Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, when he was falsely accused and thrown into prison, when he was forgotten by Pharaoh's cup bearer, he did not abandon hope. Neither should you!

In the unseen realm, the HOLY ONE was at work; the LORD was orchestrating the circumstances of Joseph's life to bring him to the point where his prophetic dream could be fulfilled.

God has a perfect plan for you, and even in the dark places where you cannot see His hand moving, even when you feel you've fallen from strength to weakness, even then, take hope, for the Christ who loves you is causing "all things to work together for your perfect good. Romans 8:28

Trust Him, even in the dark.
