The LORD says of Himself that "HE is the Friend who sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24
Because He sees your heart, He fully understands you while mere men see you superficially.
You may be very adept at projecting the image you wish to convey to people--to those who cannot see your heart, you may be accomplished, secure, self-confident, perhaps even arrogant or aloof.
But God sees who you really are. He sees the child within you who grew
up with constant criticism and rebuke. He sees the rejected adolescent
who had no friends. He sees the you who feels like a failure. He sees
the insecure waif who carries a mask of self-assuredness before the
world.
HE knows who you really are in the depth of your being and HE loves you and HE understands you and HE accepts you. You don't need to play games with JESUS because HE is not fooled by who you project yourself to be--HE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE.
His love is without condemnation or criticism. JESUS loves you unconditionally. And because He loves you and knows you and accepts you, you may boldly be yourself before mere men.
As the WORD proclaims, "IF GOD BE FOR ME, WHO CAN BE AGAINST ME!" Romans 8:31
