Sin. SIN!
Sin looms large in the world we inhabit. One cannot turn to the right or to the left without seeing some form of sin.
Television plays a significant role in many people's lives and television is impossible to watch without being brought face-to-face with sin. The theme of a significant number of programs revolves around 'ordinary' people living 'ordinary' lives that are immersed in sin.

Lifestyle choices, clothing choices, word choices, attitude choices
that are typically portrayed would not be acceptable if viewers were
endeavoring to live their lives in accordance with the perfect will of
God--for HIS choices do not include sin.
Work is an integral part of life, but much of what transpires in the work place involves sin. It isn't just the illicit affairs that arise within the workplace but also the back-biting and gossip and self-
promotion that are found there that evidence sin.
Unfortunately, the family is another group that finds itself steeped in sin rather than in the respite that love should cause it to be. Unfortunately, love is all-too-frequently absent from family relationships.
Parents are so busy making a living that they haven't time to make a life for their children. Latch-key children are so accustomed to faring for themselves that they don't know how to follow the Biblical admonition to honor their parents.
Husbands and wives who haven't time for Christ in their lives discover that they don't have the foundation of faith and honor upon which to build their marriage that the LORD establishes within the God-oriented home.
Yet, for all our inability to live lives apart from sin, we may indeed be cleansed from sin if we will follow the 'prescription' of our Heavenly Pharmacist! If we will "confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
May we allow this anecdote for sin to deliver us and to make us whole, may we allow it to inoculate us against the plague of sin that is all around us.
