The concept of God's mercy and grace being new every morning sometimes seems a fallacy because so many of our mornings are bombarded with reminders that we live in a fallen world.
The daily reports of barbarism committed against believers makes one wonder if mercy and grace are new on this morning.
Watching a loved one suffer through a night of pain and beginning another day of relentless suffering makes one wonder if mercy and grace are new on this morning.
Seeing
homeless veterans being ignored by a nation that owes them its undying
gratitude while unvetted 'refugees' from belief systems that desire
nothing less than our total annihilation makes one wonder if mercy and
grace are new on this morning.
Observing the degeneration of young people in our schools from being the eager learners of yesteryear to the wanton, drug-abusing, immoral shadows of what their humanity should have been makes us wonder if mercy and grace are new on this morning.
And yet, mercy and grace are new every morning to every individual who will receive them.
Just as mercy and grace are new on the morning the persecuted believers are brutalized; just as mercy and grace are new on the morning a loved one awakens to pain; just as mercy and grace are new to the homeless; just as mercy and grace are new to the lost sinner; mercy and grace are new to anyone who will receive them.
Mercy and grace mean that in spite of what one must suffer, in spite of ones circumstances, in spite of ones sin, the SALVATION PACKAGE, the UNSPEAKABLE GIFT of CHRIST'S pardon and cleansing from sin are available!
Beyond the persecution, beyond the disease, beyond the death, beyond the homelessness, beyond the sin is the new dawn of a glorious eternal day that transcends any momentary suffering of any day on earth.
