May the Courage of Miep Gies Live

In the following account of her involvement with the hiding of Ann Frank and her family during the dark days of WW II, Miep Gies states that she always thinks of that time, that she can't get the notion out of her head that there may have been a way for her to do more to help.

How many of today's believers will have those same haunting thoughts regarding the on-going persecution of people of faith?

How many will wonder how they could have helped?

How many will regret not doing more to save their brothers and sisters from the cruel hands of their persecuters?

May the courage of Miep Gies live on in us today--and may we do more.
