"You have not because you ask not..."
"Without faith it is impossible to please HIM, for the one who comes to GOD must believe that HE is and that HE is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM."
We are busy people...much compels our attention and demands our time. Consequently, the time we spend in prayer gets short shrift. Oh, yes, we say our perfunctory prayers--grace before meals, prayers before bed, certainly communal prayers at church--but do we tap into the tremendous reservoir of power that is available to us through heartfelt, fervent, resolute supplication before our HEAVENLY FATHER?
Do we ever observe the BIBLICAL admonition to PRAISE GOD? Do we even
recognize that praise is the highest form of prayer? The WORD tells us
that "GOD INHABITS THE PRAISE OF HIS PEOPLE."
When we praise the HOLY ONE, HE is literally with us, HE is literally inhabiting the words we speak. Can we begin to fathom the power of the praise we lift up to the LORD?
Common sense tells us that if we had the foggiest notion of the power that would be ours if we would but praise our GLORIOUS GOD, we would spend time in HIS presence, exalting HIS matchless NAME!
Can we? Will we?
Can we pray for our persecuted brothers who don't live in countries where men are free to worship the HOLY ONE after the dictates of their hearts?
Can we pray for our wayward nation, that revival will come and our land will be healed?
Can we pray for our president-elect that his heart's desire to make AMERICA great again will become reality?
Can we pray for those who are out of work, that their need for employment will be supplied?
Can we pray for those who are sick, that they will be made whole again?
Can we pray for the spiritually lost, that they will see the glorious light of JESUS CHRIST and receive the SALVATION HE has purchased for them at great price?
Can we pray? Will we pray?
