The Outcome of Socialism

Nations that embrace socialism are not better off than they were under a free market system. It is heart wrenching to see what is happening in this once prosperous nation. May they elect leaders who will inspire the populace to turn this tragedy around.

Just 18 years ago, Venezuela was a rich and sophisticated country. Then they voted for the socialist Chavez. A look inside Catholic Charities' clinics shows the poor are starving & diseased today.

 

Once Latin America’s richest country, Venezuela can no longer feed its people, hobbled by the nationalization of farms as well as price and currency controls. The resulting hunger and malnutrition are an unfolding tragedy.
