Salvation, Prayer

The greatest gift to us from our great and glorious Lord is that of our eternal salvation. Apart from that, time is all we know--eternity is shrouded in mystery.

Because JESUS died for our sins, we are set free from the dread of the unknown. We know in our hearts, where our SAVIOR lives, that death is a mere portal to all HE has provided, of which Paul said, "Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered the heart of man, what GOD has prepared for those who love Him." I Corinthians 2:9

We may not be able to fathom Heaven, but we know it is real and we know it will be glorious beyond our ability to imagine. Additionally to all the Holy One has prepared for us to enjoy is the promise of our own immersion in the person-hood of CHRIST.

The Word promises that "we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is." I John 3:2

Beyond the unimaginable intrinsic gifts that will be ours when we cross the portal that separates life from life eternal, we are also given the gift of prayer. We needn't bear our earthly problems alone, for we have a GOD who is mindful of our need and poised to help.

Is the problem confronting you emotional? Physical? Financial? Relational? Professional? Spiritual? Whatever its nature, whatever its source, when you have placed your life at the feet of JESUS, He will hear your prayer and supply your need, "according to HIS riches in glory." Philippians 4:19

Whether the answer comes exactly as you hope it will, or whether it comes in a form you have not imagined, it will come according to HIS perfect understanding of your situation.

The Word assures the person of faith, "Call to ME, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3.

That promise covers your needs, Believer, and it covers those people and circumstances about which you pray. There is nothing about which the God you serve does not care, for "...HE CARES FOR YOU." I Peter 5:7

The great privilege of prayer affords people of faith the opportunity to bind together, to lift one another's burdens. May we do that in complete assurance that, "Where two or more are gathered in MY NAME, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20
