The Word of GOD that cannot fail and cannot lie tells us that there is a "great cloud of witnesses" who observe and pray for men as they play the game of life.
Those witnesses include some of America's founding fathers, many of whom were devout Christian men. We can only imagine that they are fervently praying that our generation will beseech the LORD in the behalf of the nation they founded.
Their hearts must ache to see the land for which they fought and sacrificed become twisted by sin and depravity.
We can imagine that they are praying II Chronicles 7:14 over today's
citizens, beseeching the LORD that HE hear their prayers and attend to
the cry of godly citizens who yearn for this country to be turned back
to CHRIST.
"If MY people, who are called by MY name, will humble themselves and pray and seek MY face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land."
Believer! Pray this prayer! Seek the GOD who promised! Beseech the CHRIST who died for all men to be saved to return to the hearts of the citizens of this land, to grant to these covenant people a restored hope in the promise for which our founders trusted the HOLY ONE
