Another county in West Virginia reports of multiple High School students accepting Jesus Christ at a "voluntary student-led service." This photo is from last Friday (20MAY) at Wyoming County East High School. In response to this tremendous response and hunger in Wyoming county, a worship service to lift up the King of Kings is scheduled for this upcoming Friday (27MAY at 7PM) at the same location -- Wyoming County East High School (WV-10, New Richmond WV 24867). This high school is 52 miles to the SE of Logan, WV and 67 miles to the E of Williamson, WV. This is being called the #CoalfieldAwakening
Here are the words of Todd Weis (one of the organizers for this
Friday's event): "This is not just a youth event. This is a plea to
heaven from desperate people. What is happening in Mingo, Logan, and now
Wyoming counties are not youth rallies, revival services, or attempts
to fill churches. This is what happens when people become desperate.
Desperate for answers, peace, comfort, purpose.
"Revival can only come when people are desperate. Our area is as far as the tangible eye can see dying. No jobs, no future, no hope. But from the eyes of the spirit God creates highways through desert places and provision in famine. If you can't attend this event than we implore you to pray for us. We believe that through faithfulness and sincere love for the lost and hurting God is going to do miraculous works in our lives. Come and worship with us and dare to believe for something more."
