The ultimate enemy of everything good is the archenemy of GOD. The enemy of the soul of man "comes to steal, kill, and destroy."
It isn't that he appears in your life as a demon with a red suit and horns and a pitchfork, no. Were he that blatant, nobody would fall for his ruse.
Instead of coming as blatant evil, he comes subtly; he lures, he tempts, he makes enticing promises--wealth, fame, power can be yours if you will simply follow him. But to follow him is to ultimately be in perdition.
The WORD says, "Resist the enemy and he will flee from you."
No, he may not flee immediately. There may be a time of struggle, for the human minions and worldly circumstances he uses against you will not quickly capitulate.
But, as Churchill stated, the enemies that assail you are evidence of the fact that you have stood for something important.
