Football is just a game--a very lucrative one for those who are good enough to play professionally--but the unity displayed at this game was far more than a pre-game activity. It was an expression of patriotism to our nation and of honor to those who are the fallen of 9 / 11.
Thank you to the Steelers and to the Redskins who allowed their love of country and respect for the freedom and opportunity for which it stands--for all citizens--to supersede any negativity that might intrude itself into the Republic that strives to live what it believes.
