It's been a mild winter so far, but that's about to change. The temperature has been dropping through the night and snow is predicted.
Some people relish the change of seasons and winter, with its icy blasts and its accumulation of snow, is one of the aspects that is most enjoyed. Others prefer to escape to warmer climes.
The seasons of life, like the weather, can be unpredictable. Just when it seems that winter will be pleasantly mild, a cold front moves in that changes everything. Just when it seems life has settled into a comfortable routine, a devastating wind of adversity blows in.
When a believer must take on the challenge of hardship of any kind, it
is imperative that he remain steadfast in his faith in the ONE who holds
the times and the seasons--natural and spiritual--in the hollow of HIS
hand.
When the storms of life assail the person of faith, he must be mindful that the GOD of all hope, peace, comfort, support...the GOD of overcoming...is nearer to him than his problems.
He must remember that the HOLY ONE does not abandon HIS own at their point of adversity but HE helps them to traverse life's worst calamities through faith in the NAME that is above all names.
When the believer speaks the NAME of JESUS into his storm, he discovers the amazing power of CHRIST'S words, "Peace, be still."
