Sight vs. Belief

GOD'S immutable WORD, the BIBLE, tells us that we are to "walk by faith, not by sight." The believer's journey through life is to take him to higher and ever higher plains of glory--not because of what he sees but because of what he believes.

What a believer sees is quite changeable...what a believer sees is affected by weather, by finances, by relationships, by moods. What a believer holds as truth in his heart is not based on variables but upon the unchanging TRUTH of the HOLY ONE.

So when discoveries are made that appear to substantiate the concepts people of faith hold dear, they rejoice that others who do not share their faith are thereby afforded a new reason to lay their lives at the feet of the SAVIOR, but they are not impacted in their own belief that is already established.

These Biblical sites may reveal major historical truths about JESUS, but they do not sway the born again believer who has known JESUS and HIS TRUTH because of the HOLY SPIRIT within him who has, according to the WORD of JESUS HIMSELF, taught him all things.
