Reach Out to Those Around You

Most of us have lost loved ones to suicide... This is heartbreaking for those who are left behind to wish they could have said something, done something--given more, loved more--to prevent such a needless tragedy.

My door is always open, the coffee pot is always on and my sofa is always a warm place of peace and non judgement. Any of my family and friends who need to chat are welcome anytime .

It's no good suffering in silence. I have cold drinks and food in the fridge...tea and coffee in the cupboard and I will always be here for you. ...You are always welcome!!

Blue Monday is a name given to a day in January (typically the third Monday of the month) reported to be the most depressing day of the year and January the worst month for suicides, so be tuned in to those around you and make sure they know you care and 'are there' for them--always, but especially at this time of heightened vulnerability.

It's always good to talk but even better to listen.

This hits closer to home than we think. I'll always lend an ear and a shoulder.......and my heart...please make sure you do, too...and if you're one who needs that ear and shoulder, please, come sit beside me and talk.

Perhaps you will consider re-posting this so those in need will know someone cares and is always willing to listen.
