America has a unique history.
America was initially settled by people who were seeking religious freedom, people who wanted to worship the HOLY ONE according to their conscience.
Because the matter of being true to their conviction was so essential to them, they were willing to abandon the comforts of home and the security of family associations; they were willing to cross treacherous seas; they were willing to eek out a life in a hostile environment in order to be able to pursue their faith.

The CHRIST they loved and served after the dictates of their conscience
rewarded their profound faith--that was willing to sacrifice everything
in order to worship HIM after their convictions--by prospering their
efforts and blessing their labors.
HE caused this nation to attain heights of prosperity and power and peace that no other nation in history has achieved. HE blessed this people with every good thing HIS hand could supply.
And we, the progeny of those people of great faith, have taken those blessings for granted and --to our great shame-- have denied the faith of our founding fathers.
We have opened our borders to an influx of worshipers of false gods. We have removed prayer from our schools. We have relegated the BIBLE to disuse. We have presumed that the good life we enjoyed could continue without the GOOD GOD who ordained it.
Because of our foolhardy departure from the anchor of CHRISTIAN faith in the ONE TRUE LIVING GOD and SAVIOR, our once-great land has suffered reversals that are inexplicable apart from the faithless choices we have made.
May we who believe in JESUS, may we who anchor our hope to HIM, fall on our faces before HIM and beseech HIS mercy and grace upon this errant land. May we implore HIM to send a "GREAT AWAKENING" to this people that stirs through our hearts and minds and spirits and causes us to fall on our faces before HIS THRONE in supplication of a move of HIS HOLY SPIRIT upon us that brings us to unshakable faith in JESUS again!
LORD JESUS, we perish for a lack of YOU.
COME TO US, PRECIOUS SAVIOR...
...AND LET US NOT CAST YOU OUT BUT RECEIVE YOU INTO OUR HEARTS AND INTO OUR LAND AGAIN.
