Where Do You Live?
Feelings change because our emotions are fickle.
Do you remember your first crush? Imagine yourself with the object of your devotion these several years later. Can you fathom how different your life would have been had the object of your youthful emotions become your lifelong partner?
Most people would not be content with the alternate life they would have lived if their youthful choices had been fulfilled.
Most little boys wanted to be a policeman or a fireman--but how many men have the fortitude to fill these demanding careers?
Little girls aspire to be teachers because some of their early role models were lovely young women who graced their classrooms, but how many of them have the patience to guide the young toward their future?
The first house you bought would be totally unsuitable for the needs of your family today.
The first candidate you voted for would not be the one for whom you pull the lever in the next election.
Why?
Because people change; their feelings, their beliefs, their perceptions change.
The one thing an individual possesses that does not change is his faith. When one has anchored himself to the LIVING LORD of time and eternity, he has stepped out in faith from the realm of the temporary to the Kingdom of Heaven, which is forever.
Let your faith flourish.
Let your faith spread from you to everyone around you.
Let your faith bring forth the wonderful fruit that JESUS has promised to those who believe in HIM:
Peace
Joy
Hope
Power
Love
Salvation
These and other fruits of the Spirit will grow in the lives of one who has faith. Harvest these fruits and be blessed as they nourish you through a lifetime of loving and serving JESUS, the keeper of the vineyard of faith.
