Come Forth!

"Lazarus, come forth!" John 11:43

Everyone wanted to see Jesus; everyone wanted to see this Man who opened blind eyes, unstopped deaf ears, healed every manner of disease and cast out demons. Nobody had ever seen or heard of the wondrous works He performed.

Then, the impossible happened! After His friend Lazarus died and had lain in his tomb for days, JESUS called him forth from the grave! Lazarus emerged with the grave clothes still wrapped around him, and everyone knew an extraordinary MAN walked among them.

When He rode into Jerusalem, palm fronds and garments were strewn before Him. it seemed the whole community was welcoming its triumphant King, but the euphoria of Palm Sunday's "Hosannas" soon became the cry of the rabble of Good Friday--"Crucify Him!"

Yet we know on the glorious Sunday morning that followed, the stone was rolled away, the tomb was empty, and the LORD OF LIFE arose from the grave! We know HE "led captivity captive," that the graves of the departed saints were opened and a procession of the faithful who had gone before went forth to their eternal reward.

May this matchless story of power and hope and victory over death inspire you to believe HIM for every need you have.  May it call you forth from faithlessness to belief.  May you indeed be filled with all joy and peace as you trust Him, knowing "the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you." Romans 8:11
