Pray for Your Enemies

One day, the truth, the hope, the peace, the joy, the grace, the mercy, the love of GOD will cover the earth as the water covers the seas. UNTIL then, we must remember to "pray for your enemies; do good to those who dispitefully use you."

It is beyond human ability to pray for people who wantonly "steal, kill and destroy." Their demonic actions compel the human heart to desire to retaliate in kind, but man's way is not God's way.

LORD JESUS, we bring before You those who have been nurtured in hatred, who have been taught to despise those who do not share their beliefs at their mothers' knee, who have been trained in war, who will gladly spend themselves to destroy those they call 'infidels.'

Only You can touch hearts, our GOD, only You can melt hearts of stone, only You can transform hearts that hate into hearts that love, and we ask You to reach down Your hand of salvation and to bring healing to the thoughts and intents of the hearts of those who hate.

We ask You to allow those who are blinded by a world system that demands submission or death to be illumined by the light of Your love in order that they may follow Your path from the darkness of hatred to the light of life.

Above all, DEAR JESUS, we long for Your return. We are weary of the gloom of man's corruption and long for Your perfect righteousness to reign over all the earth and throughout all eternity. It is in your matchless and beautiful name we pray, JESUS. Amen.
