Mendoza

Mary Ann Mendoza lost her son, Sgt. Brandon Mendoza, after his car was hit by a wrong-way driver in 2014.

The driver was later identified as Raul Silva-Corona, an illegal immigrant with a 20-year rap sheet who had been drinking the night he killed her son.

Since then, Mendoza has been a fierce advocate for tightening up laws that prohibit illegal immigrants from “purchasing or registering vehicles in the U.S. without a driver’s license and would remove illegal immigrants who are convicted of a crime.”

So when the DNC brought an 11-year-old girl before the crowd Monday night to speak about the fear that her undocumented parents will be deported, Mendoza was enraged that politicians would use a child to tug on the heartstrings of voters.

Speaking with Fox News, she pointed out the clear bias in 2016 politics:

“If my son had been a civilian killed by a police officer, thousands of people would know his name,
but he was a police officer killed by an illegal and the liberals want to ignore that this problem even exists in our country.”
