Troubling and Perilous Times

We are living in troubling and perilous times.

It is easy to become discouraged and to believe our hope for the future, our concern for our nation, and even our faith that prayer can overcome the inevitability of the devastation that seems to be ahead of us are futile.

When we are confused and overcome by the eruption of anger and hatred we see among our fellow citizens, when we are in a quandary as to how to make a difference for good in a quagmire of evil, we must then be mindful that the GOD we serve is still in control.

As HE seemed distant when CHRIST hung on the cross, but the HOLY ONE was allowing HIS glorious plan of SALVATION to unfold, so HE seems distant as people of faith go through throes of anguish because prayer to overcome the the turmoil in our land seem unanswered, but the HOLY ONE is allowing HIS plan of overcoming hatred with love and overcoming evil with good to unfold.

Let us continue to pray and to believe that our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST will show HIMSELF strong in the midst of this great tribulation, even as HE did when HE AROSE FROM THE GRAVE.
