JESUS Reigns
Appearances can be deceiving. Someone who appears ordinary can be harboring a terrorist's heart and mind--can look innocent but be plotting death and destruction.
Someone can appear to possess average resources while secretly giving away substantial sums to alleviate the needs of those who suffer lack.
JESUS is proclaimed to be the "Prince of Peace," Isaiah 9:6, but the
world to which HE came is anything but peaceful. The Kingdom of Peace seemingly
has no peace. In fact the Holy Word declares, "When they are crying
'peace and safety, then will sudden destruction come upon them.'" How
can this be if the Word of God is forever true?
First of all, it is true because God has spoken it and HE is always true because HE IS TRUTH. God's character is honor and integrity and HE conveys no falsehood.
Secondly, it is true because God's timetable is unfolding as HE wills. Every word He has spoken will be revealed at its appointed time. The purposes of the HOLY ONE are established forever and HIS timeline cannot be altered or aborted.
JESUS came as a Baby born in Bethlehem on that long-ago night that was filled with the bright light of Heaven's most amazing star and with the sweet songs of Heaven's angelic host. JESUS came to suffer and die for the sins of all who will receive His grace.
To those who receive, HE is the Prince of Peace within their hearts, for HE has spoken to their anxiety and to their fear of death, "Peace, be still."
But, JESUS WILL COME AGAIN! He will come as a thief in the night when an unsuspecting world is busily engaged in its self-indulgence, in its arrogance, in its terrorism. And HE will vanquish every foe and HE will evidence Himself to be what HE has always been, King of kings and Lord of lords!
