You, Believer

You, Believer, are the possessor of life's greatest treasure, of God's "unspeakable gift," II Corinthians 9:15. You own something which all the earth yearns to possess but which many cannot even identify as the hunger within them.

You own the answer to question of dealing with failure and disappointment. Within you is the solution to the perplexity of unattainable goals. You hold the keys to the dilemma of disease and death. And you possess the only viable answer to the question of eternity and where man will spend it.

All these storms that blow eventually into each life cause great disconcertion and dread; they bring with them anxiety and trepidation but you, Believer, can counter them with one word--JESUS.

The failure and disappointment can be swallowed into the reality of achievement when a man realizes that through JESUS he is more than a conqueror (see Romans 8:37); that he is an over-comer whose life amounts to more than the sum total of his achievements.

The goals he cannot reach in life become infinitesimal when measured against his attainment of the role of co-heir of heaven, Romans 8:17.

Disease and death are mere stepping stones along the path to the fulfillment of the promise, "GOD shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4.

You, Believer, posses this glorious truth which is life's greatest treasure, and as in the old children's song, when you, "lend and spend it, you end up having more." You have more because each new believer becomes a brother in Christ whose birth into the LORD'S eternal Kingdom accrues to your account.

Be diligent, therefore, to share your great hope, to encourage your fellow sojourner through life's dark, stormy valley. Hold fast to the hand of the ONE who calmed the storm (see Mark 4:35-41), and as you walk with HIM, reach out to bring another with you into HIS incredible peace.

There are 6,775,235,842 people in the world. Why are you letting one of them ruin your day?
