When our turn arrives to stand at the portal of Heaven, our entry there won't depend upon the good things we have done or the charitable work we have supported or the scientific concepts we have mastered.
Our entry into the realm of glory will depend upon only one thing--our decision to accept or to reject Christ.
At this very moment, each of us may look at our image in a mirror and recognize one whose eternal destination is already determined. If we are content with the location we've chosen as our home throughout eternity, then we need do nothing differently.
However, if we have a yearning in the depth of our spirit for a better
eternal abode, there is one thing that can change our course. If we
long to dwell in Heaven with our risen Savior, we can accept His
unspeakable gift to us of redemption from sin and hope for eternity.
Salvation is free but it is not without cost...the price has been paid at Golgotha's Hill. We need only avail ourselves of Christ's great expenditure of Himself in our behalf.
When we have the Prince of Peace living in our hearts, we will walk side-by-side with our brothers through the trials of life. We will share Christ's love with everyone around us throughout time and we will abide with JESUS forever.
