To whom are you listening? Who are you following? What authority holds you? Whose advice do you heed?
If your answer to these questions is anything but the Lord God JEHOVAH and HIS CHRIST and the Holy Word of God, the Bible, you have misplaced your confidence.
To securely traverse the snares and pitfalls of this Vale of Tears, you must be following the counsel and the example of the Savior who sacrificed Himself so that you can be free in time and alive eternally.
There is no one
else who loves you as HE does and no one else who knows the path your
life should follow into the future except the One who holds the future
in the hollow of His hand.
Within the week, you will celebrate the onset of a brand new year. Will you include among your New Year's resolutions the promise to yourself that you will slip your hand into the hand of the Master? That you will follow JESUS into His promises for time and His assurances for eternity?
Will you allow the GREAT I AM to be all-in-all to you? Will you release your cares to Him, knowing that "HE CARES FOR YOU," I Peter 5:7? Will you trust fully in His love, knowing that GOD'S "LOVE NEVER FAILS," I Corinthians 13:8? Will you abide in HIM, knowing that "THERE IS NO OTHER NAME GIVEN UNDER HEAVEN WHEREBY MEN MIGHT BE SAVED," Acts 4:12.
If you will, you have resolved to allow your life to be transformed from simple to sublime, from temporal to heavenly, from poverty to eternal wealth because you have given yourself to the ONE who knows you, who knows all things, and WHOSE counsel never fails.
