Origin of Life

July 7

Life began when Jesus, the Living Word of God spoke and His Spirit moved upon the void of eternity so He might fulfill His desire to fellowship with men of free will. A living, breathing creature was formed from the dust to supply the One who is complete in Himself with one who might dwell under His wing.

Archaeologists may dig through the layers of accumulated relics of eons past to find the origins of life, biologists may probe the cells of living beings under their microscopes to find the clues to the species’ inception, but until the Word of God is accepted in its truth, the mystery will persist.

John 6:63 states clearly, The Spirit is the One who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” The One who was there at the moment of creation, Jesus Himself, tells us that it was His living Word, when the void was moved upon by His Spirit, that generated life.

It is that same Word, that same Spirit that generates eternal life. As long as a man is focused upon the natural man and his comfort and his gratification, he will miss the reality of eternity that looms before him. But when he embraces the Author of life, fullness of life—for time and eternity—will be his.
