Stand Firmly on Truth in an Age of Deception

July 15

Anyone who knows to do right is admonished to do it. In James 4:17 we are told that if we know the right thing to do but elect not to do it, it is sin. God has made His will quite plain before our eyes. The Word, through all its books, authored by many prophets, poets and apostles, does not waver in the matter of truth.

The Word also admonishes that false teachers will come, some of whom profess to be among the family of faith, some who declare another god besides God, and we are warned that we must give no heed to their alluring lies and demonic doctrines (II Titus 4:3).

In Ephesians 5:6, Paul tells us, “Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for because of these things, God’s wrath is coming on the disobedient.” We must stand firmly upon the doctrine that was given to us by Jesus Himself and propagated by His faithful apostles.

We live in an age where false religions are rampant, false gods with their false promises and doctrines of devils have ensnared many. The lies of the counterfeit gods would turn the righteousness of the Living Christ on its head! Only by knowing and embracing the Words of Jesus can we stand firm in an age of deception.
