LOVE

October 26

The spread of hatred is rampant among the wicked people of the nations. As God’s people, we must spread our own message: L O V E  No matter our nationality or our race or our political persuasion, we who know Christ must abide in His love.

God Is Love – These verses remind us of the love of God, who says of Himself that HE IS LOVE.  I John 4:8

1. John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that  He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

2. Romans 5:8
“…but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

3. Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

4. Romans 13:8
“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.“

5. Ephesians 4:2
“…with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love”

6. 1 Peter 1:22
“Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart”

7. 1 John 4:7
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”

8. Mark 12:28-3 9. 1 John 3:18
“Little children, let us not love only in word but let us love in deed and in truth.”

9. Psalm 23:5-6
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

10. Psalm 31:16
“Make Your face shine on Your servant;  save me in Your steadfast love!”

11. Psalm 63:3
“Because Your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise You.”

12. Proverbs 10:12
“Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.”

13. Proverbs 17:17
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

14. John 14:21-24
“Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.  Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?  Jesus answered him,  If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and my Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.  Whoever does not love Me does not keep my words.  And the word that you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.”

15. John 15:9-17
“As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you.  Abide in My love.   If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.  These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.  No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.  You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give it to you.  These things I command you, so that you will love one another.”

16. THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT: MARK 12:28
“And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that He answered them well, asked Him, Which commandment is the most important of all?  Jesus answered, The most important is, Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is ONE. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”
